Bleep — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

Bleep is a personal organiser that helps clinicians keep track of their shift. This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: Bleep collects nothing about you and sends nothing to us.

1. Who we are

Bleep is an independently developed app ("we", "us"). For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at bleepdoctorscompanion@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

None. We do not operate accounts and we do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data about you. There is no analytics, tracking, or advertising in Bleep.

3. Where your information lives

Everything you type into Bleep — your jobs, referrals, patient initials, notes, and settings — is stored only on your own device. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to use a live shift group (see below). If you delete the app, that data is gone.

Bleep is designed so that no full patient identifiers are needed: it caps patient references to a few initials and asks you not to enter full names or national patient/health ID numbers.

4. Live shift groups

If you choose to create or join a live shift group, the shared board and chat are synced between the members' phones so your team sees the same information. This data is end-to-end encrypted: it is encrypted on your device before it is sent, and can only be read by the phones in your group. Our infrastructure relays the encrypted data but cannot read it. Shift-group data is temporary and is automatically deleted when the shift ends.

5. Face ID / Touch ID

You can optionally lock the app with your device's Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode. This happens entirely on your device through Apple's system. We never see, store, or receive your biometric data — Apple does not share it with apps.

6. Notifications

Bleep can send you reminders (for example, to chase a job). These are generated and scheduled on your own device. We do not send you push messages from a server and cannot see your reminders.

7. Children

Bleep is intended for use by healthcare professionals and is not directed at children.

8. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device and we hold nothing about you, you are always in full control: you can view, edit, or permanently delete your information at any time from within the app or by deleting the app.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note it in the app.
